Poems about God
Hello God, By Unknown
Hello God, I called tonight
to talk a little while.
I need a friend who'll listen
to my anxiety and trial.
You see, I can't quite make it
Through a day just on my own;
I need your love to guide me,
so I'll never feel alone.
I want to ask you please to keep
my loved ones safe and sound.
Come and fill their lives with confidence
for whatever fate they're bound.
Give me faith, dear God, to face
each hour throughout the day;
and not to worry over things
I can't change in any way.
I thank you God, for being home
and listening to my call;
for giving me such good advice
when I stumble and I fall.
Your number, God, is the only one
that answers every time.
I never get a busy signal,
never pay a dime.
So thank you,God, for listening
To my troubles and my sorrow.
Good night,God, I love You, too,
I'll call again tomorrow.
CRIMSON, By Melissa Wangerin
Crimson is the color of the blood
shed for you and me
Shed two thousand years ago
on a hill called Mt. Calvary
God showed His love
and His Grace
To us --
an undeserving race
He left us here to be
His arms to give hugs,
His feet to go and tell
of His love to a lost and
dying world
Crimson is the color of the rose
that grows as an expression of
His love for us
He tells us to share
this good news we bare
to all the world
that He cares
He's gone up above
to make us a home up there
He sent His Spirit
to us here below
So that we might share
of His love from there
in Glory
So as we're here below
its our job to tell others
of His love so pure and
of Heaven so bright
While we're here
we have to tell the story
of Christ's love
and our home with Him in Glory
If we won't share of this love
then who will
It's our job as God's sons and daughters
to share the story of what happened to His Son
on a Cross over two thousand years ago
While we're here we must share
so we won't be held responsible
for friends and loved ones
We don't want them to hell
so we must tell them the Gospel
God wants us to tell our friends
here below
of Him up above
He was beaten and bruised and killed
due to His love for us
but we won't tell
the story of His love
how He left His home above
Or a walk up a street called
Galgatha on His way to His death
He didn't complain
only pray for God's will to be done
Crimson is the color of
Christ's love for us below
shown on a cross upon
a hill called Mt. Calvary
How often do we forget the price
He paid for us--
It was His life
due to His love for us
I don't know what he is to you
but to me He's Master,
Savior, Friend, Comforter,
Lord, King, Prince of Peace,
Ruler of my heart, Rose of Sharon,
Bright Morning Star,
He's my all and He's my everything.
He's There, By Kelly Lynn Bailey
He's there, when you need to cry
He's there, when you want to die,
He's there, he's your friend till the end
He's there, when your heart needs to mend.
He's there, with his love
He's there, up above.
He's there waiting, forever more
He's there waiting, at the door.
He's there, waiting around
He's there, when you want to break down.
He's there, when you feel like dirt
He's there, to take away the hurt.
He's there, though you may feel he's not,
He's there, so give him all that you've got.
Poems about Friendship
WALK WITH ME, By Unknown
If you're alone it need not be.
Take my hand and walk with me.
Walk with me, by my side:
Not for me to be your guide,
For where you're bound, I do not know
and the way is not mine to show.
I won't promise to follow you;
It may be more than I can do.
Walk with me while we wait:
Not that you might bear my freight;
If I don't lift it I'll grow frail
and that will cause me to fail.
I am able to perform my task,
and sometimes more, if you ask.
Walk with me, even in rain:
We can't take the other's pain;
But you can know that I care.
Not to gain in worldly fare,
but for the feelings that we share,
and to know someone is there.
Walk with me as a brother:
That we'll understand each other;
Not to listen to me preach
And surely not for me to teach;
And if we help, it's from desire,
Not from duty, and not for hire.
Walk with me as a friend:
Not to promise until time's end.
Not to possess, for you're not mine
but we'll walk together, down the line.
When you need me, there I'll be
Would you not do as much for me?
If you are down, I'll help you stand;
So reach out, friend, and take my hand
and walk with me in this beautiful land.
Reach out friend, take my hand.
Friends, By Heather Tippitt
A friend is one who is always there
to guide you to a brighter day
by showing you how much they care
in each and every single way
A friend is one who trusts and loves
the person inside of you
They make your spirits soar above
Especially when your feeling blue
A friend is one who is understanding
When your in times of stress
And even if your over demanding
They'll always help you out of your mess
Friends, By Kelly Lynn Bailey
Whether I'm happy,
or feeling a little sad.
I can always count on you,
to make me feel glad.
When I need a friend,
a shoulder to cry on,
I can always count on you,
you're someone I can rely on.
Now when I've done some things,
and I just want to talk,
I can always count on you,
to help straighten my walk.
Then there are thoses days,
when I need some advice,
I can always count on you,
to tell me something nice.
It's always nice, to have a friend,
who would walk the extra mile.
I can always count on you,
to do it with a smile.
I love you guys so much,
and I hope you can see,
I can always count on you,
and you can always count on me!
