 ...But sent into it. Jesus prayed: "I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me" (John 17:14-23 NIV)  , and our Mission is the mission of the cross. Our mission is not impossible, for with God, all things are possible. The world is getting darker and darker, and we must be the light. We must stand together, with one purpose, to let the world know that God loves them, and that He sent His Son to die for the penalty of our sin. We must not blend in with the world, because we are sanctified, set apart, just as Jesus is. We are filled with the power and love of our God, because He lives in us. We must stand up for what's right, even though it may hurt. We must love others, just as God loves us. We must not be afraid, for the Lord is with us. We must not give up hope, for the Lord is our strength. We must fight for what we believe in, and believe in what we fight for. By the cross we were saved, and by the cross we will live. We are His lamps, and we are His children. We are strong, we are bold, and we are faithful. We strive for righteousness, we strive to love always, and we are unified in purpose. We are the present...and we are the future..........................................we are...GENERATION There's only one question left. |
